A very successful evening was had by all at the now regular Curry Night arranged by Paul Marshall and his lovely wife Yvonne. A general knowledge quiz and the usual 'Pop Bingo' took place over a great meal supplied by the Mumtaz Mahal Restaurant in Benfleet.
Roger, our charity steward also got to work promoting the raffle and raised £513 for our Master's charity 'Gold Geese'.

St Georges' Day Lunch
- Sunday 19th April
Another regular Albert lucking social event is the St Georges Day lunch at the Thames Breeze restaurant in Leigh. Organised by our charity steward, Roger Northwood had his work cut out, with also arranging the raffle and acting as DJ for the 'Pop Bingo'.
But, all worked out well with appreciation from brethren, wives, partners and friends in raising a wonderful charity amount of £573 for our Masters charity 'Gold Geese'.

Black & White Ladies Night
- Saturday 8th August
Joshua Vaughan, our Master of the Lodge, recently planned and hosted a spectacular Ladies Evening at the Lawn Banqueting Suite in Rochford, with a stylish Black & White theme chosen at the request of his wife, Charlie.
Just under 100 guests attended, embracing the theme and dressing accordingly. True to form, Josh brought his trademark high-energy enthusiasm to the evening, ensuring that everyone enjoyed a memorable night.
Josh explaining passionately about the charity Gold Geese
A particularly special guest was Katie Southgate, CEO and founder of Gold Geese, the charity Josh selected as his chosen charity during his year in office. The evening also provided an opportunity to support the charity, with a range of fundraising activities raising an impressive £1,141 for Gold Geese.
Ordinarily, the Ladies Evening would mark the end of Josh's year as Master of the Lodge. However, circumstances have changed and Josh will now remain in office for a second year.
Speaking about his decision to continue, Josh explained that Gold Geese holds a very special place in his heart. With another year ahead of him, he has set himself the ambitious target of raising £10,000 for the charity.
Josh has already reached the halfway point towards his fundraising goal and is determined to continue his efforts throughout his second year in office.
"I've really got this Josh!"
The Black & White Ladies Evening proved to be another fantastic occasion, combining friendship, celebration and a strong commitment to supporting a very worthwhile local charity.
