Indian meal & Quiz evening

Following a long absence Paul Marshall and his wife Yvonne re-kindled their annual Indian meal with Quiz evening, held for the first time in the Maharaja Restaurant, London Road, South Benfleet. Our Charity Steward, Austin also had a hand in the arrangements as monies raised during the evening would be shared with Yvonne's charity  'Novi Survat' and our WM's charity 'MIND Basildon.'

This delightful photo shows a big thankyou from the children of Novi Survat's Starting Point School in Goa.

These are some of the 'slum children' who have nothing and are only being educated through charitable donations.

Novi Survat's first aim is:

• To provide the street children and the very poor with regular nourishing food, hold educational classes and see to their medical needs

This they are fulfilling admirably! - and we all should be proud that donations like this make a difference to these young lives.
